Celebrate Mexican Independence Day with music, food, dancing and more. Browse traditional arts and crafts, dance with Mexican rock bands and enjoy face painting and giveaways during the popular Penn’s Landing event. Part of Hispanic Heritage Month.

Serving as one of Philadelphia’s largest celebrations of Latino arts and culture, the annual Feria del Barrio brings together thousands of community residents from throughout the Greater Philadelphia region for a free family event. At Feria, you can find foods, artists, singers, dancers and performers — all while getting useful information from dozens of local agencies and cultural partners. Part of Hispanic Heritage Month.

SEPTEMBER 24, 2017
Join hundreds of spectators on the streets of Philadelphia for a day of music, dancing and fabulous floats during the annual Puerto Rican Day Parade. Now celebrating its 55th anniversary, this cultural fete is the city’s oldest and largest outdoor event celebrating Puerto Rican and Latino heritage. Hundreds of performers, local celebrities and youth groups parade the streets for a festive afternoon.


OCTOBER 2017
Greater Philadelphia holds one of the largest Italian-American communities in the country. Returning for its fourth year, Ciao Philadelphia brings a month-long series of events that highlight the contributions of this community to the city and beyond. Events unfold daily, ranging from concerts to film screenings to food celebrations and much more.

In October, Asian Arts Initiative hosts Pearl Street Block Party, transforming an unassuming alley into a daylong, art-filled fest centered around community building, art showcases and delicious eats. As with all of Asian Arts Initiative programming, the block party celebrates the diversity and depth of Asian cultures.

Join October Gallery in the heart of Germantown as they return with the annual Philadelphia International Art Expo. This must-see exhibition and art show attracts artists and vendors from around the globe and showcases work by some of the top names in African and African-American art.

The Philadelphia Asian American Film Festival aims to educate and expose the Philadelphia region to films by and about Asian-Americans via screenings and events. The festival delves into Asian-American film through screenings of documentaries and feature films, panels, discussions, parties and much more at multiple locations within the city.

The annual Philadelphia Jewish Film Festival presents dozens of films from countries around the world. The curated selection of documentaries, narratives, feature films and shorts celebrates Jewish identity, culture, history and community.
